Mountains are known for their beauty and height. They often serve as a source of inspiration for artists, poets, and philosophers. Most people admire them from afar, but few ever get to enjoy what it feels like to touch the sky or to gaze at the Earth from the highest peaks. They are the highest points on Earth, sometimes reaching into the sky for miles and miles, like Mt. Everest, the world’s tallest mountain. And they’re incredibly beautiful, too—just look at the colors of a sunrise or sunset on a mountainside!
With the Earth consisting of some 200 countries, each containing thousands of mountains, it’s an interesting venture to rank these giants by size. And that is exactly what we are going to do today!
In this interesting infographic, we have covered some of the longest mountain ranges in the world—not necessarily the highest peaks, but mountain ranges that are impressive because they stretch across hundreds of miles (or kilometers).
