Coffee comes from an evergreen shrub that produces berries which are also used as a spice and in perfumes. The history of coffee is long but began in Yemen circa 5,000 BC when a merchant from Ethiopia brought the beans and his method for roasting and brewing them. 

The story of this popular drink, however, is anything but common.
