Texas, or the Lone Star State, is the second largest state in America when it comes to land mass. It is also one of the most populous states, with 29 million residents making it second only to California in terms of population.

As of today, Texas is known for many things—the Bible belt, cowboys, hot weather, barbecues,  city skylines, country , music, and a lot more. However, there have been several historical events that shaped Texas to be the way it is today. Without these, the overall Texan experience might be very different.

The Texan way of life is also influenced by the distinct Hispanic heritage there. They have a long history with Mexicans, the Spanish, and their respective cultures. The diversities go back to the pre-Columbian era, so we should find out as much as we could about this state’ history. After all, it is one of the most developed and influential states in America.
